In a surprise move, the Morgan Motor Company announced it will change its world famous wings logo. The Morgan wings, adopted by company founder HFS Morgan and his son Peter for the first 4-wheeled Morgan, had been used on all Morgan automobiles since 1936. The design had become synonymous with the marque for more than seven decades. Reaction from the Morgan community expressed on the discussion groups has been unprecedented and negative. The new logo (below), presented by HFS' grandson and PM's son, Charles, will be the only one permitted on Morgan products. The MMC stated that there will be a short period until the Geneva auto show in early 2008 to allow for the transition.
